Dewey Bozella IS attitude

Oct 15, 2011 | 1

I meet people everyday who are apathetic, accepting of the status quo, even when it is harmful. In walks Dewey Bozella.. A man who says a man's reputation is worth everything if he's fighting for a worthy cause. Because of that attitude he is going to achieve his lifelong dream tonight...

I heard you can apply for jobs on the Internet, is that true?

Jul 29, 2011 |

I agreed to conduct mock interviews with prisoners nearing the end of their lengthy sentences at the maximum security federal penitentiary, in the name of workforce development. I said yes when I received the call because... well, I want them to return to society well prepped for a job interview with the hope it will help them gain employment that will help enable them to be productive well integrated members of communities across the country upon their release - don't you?

Fruit Flavored Sugar

Jun 22, 2011 |

You would think Julia Child resurrected the way the media is going on these past few days about using artificial fruit flavored beverage powder to make the world's newest culinary creation, "Deep Fried Kool-Aid". When I think back to high school I don't think of myself as an awkward teenager - though I had no idea of a career I would be interested in except archeology. My father would get angry with me and tell me that unless I planned on moving to Africa I would end up in a fast food joint - that I needed to study something that was in demand or I would starve.

A Question From New Orleans

Mar 11, 2010 | 4

This is a call to action for my colleagues in the recruiter community. It's true, every time there is a disaster people respond generously with an outpouring of donations to aid agencies. Time passes, a new disaster rocks the earth's axis and we move on, moved by the emotion of the instant high tech news coverage social media has enabled. In the aftermath, people live in tent cities and try to rebuild their lives. Caroll found me.... What can we do for her?

I’m OK, You’re OK

What happens when a community that hasn't seen much change in its demographic makeup in almost 100 years, has suffered a decline in population for the longest time, has an elderly population of 20.6% and votes largely Republican gets an immigrant injection from Latin America?
