What do United States Senator Robert P. Casey, Crystal Goss, the Dallas High School Football Team, Commission on Economic Opportunity, and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins all have in common?

Well, they are all residents of #NEPA570. But, there's more... Much, much more...

They are all being honored this year by The Arc of Luzerne County for other things they have in common. Just like The Arc, they embody the essence of community spirit, quality of life, collaboration, and esteem and inclusion of all members of society, to include people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

I am honored to be included among these A-Listers, as recipient of the Michael Miller Award for Outstanding Staff Person of the Year, at this year's Annual Awards Dinner, on March 26. My work at The Arc provides me with the opportunity to do very good things, and it's a great place to work.

I would be doubly honored to have you join me to celebrate, and / or sponsor a ticket for a person with an intellectual / developmental disability who otherwise would not be able to attend this celebration of community and all abilities. If you can make it, I hope to see you at Mohegan Sun Pocono for the festivities!

Can't make it and sponsoring a ticket is more than your budget allows? How about a donation of any size to benefit the great work The Arc does? Thanks, you're the best!

P.S. Particularly exciting will be the photo booth - can't wait!
