It’s a simple concept really -  a chain reaction.  When everyone acts the same, the same results are likely to occur. When no one detaches to practice independent thinking, challenge behavior or question potential outcomes, what you get are a bunch of people supporting white mattresses lined up in an orderly fashion that fall at regular intervals on command. Acting with cult mentality they rejoice as they go down.
