Respon­si­bil­i­ties:

Abil­ity to be the pro­fes­sional online face and per­son­al­ity of Penn Fos­ter to our prospects and large stu­dent body. Knowl­edge of and abil­ity to uti­lize social media sites such as Face­book, Twit­ter, YouTube, and more. High activ­ity of post­ing, read­ing and main­tain­ing these inter­ac­tive out­lets. Abil­ity to com­mu­ni­cate and brand Penn Fos­ter on a con­stant basis to cur­rent stu­dents and poten­tial future stu­dents. This job will also require inter­act­ing with intra-company cus­tomers as well.

The Social Media Con­tent Man­ager will have a great idea of trends, themes and the “pulse” of the stu­dent body online. Tak­ing this infor­ma­tion to the appro­pri­ate depart­ments and find­ing answers will allow you to be the Penn Fos­ter “sub­ject mat­ter expert” in our offi­cial forums.

Require­ments:

Degree in Mar­ket­ing, Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, Entre­pre­neur­ship, Eng­lish or a related field. Expe­ri­ence uti­liz­ing social media for mar­ket­ing pur­poses or expe­ri­ence in viral mar­ket­ing uti­liz­ing inter­ac­tive web con­tent. Abil­ity to inter­act on a daily basis with a diverse user group. Pro­fes­sional demeanor, lan­guage and pre­sen­ta­tion online and off. Expe­ri­ence with all social media chan­nels, forums and mes­sage boards, blogs, etc. Pro­fi­cient in HTML/CSS, Pho­to­shop and Dreamweaver.
